Project Management Office (PMO)
The PMO Project Management Office is an organizational structure that standardizes processes and facilitates the sharing and expertise of resources, methods, tools, and techniques for managing an organization’s projects. PMO supports the project managers of the organization and in some organizations acts as a project manager. PMO comes in different forms depending on the type and dimensions of the organization. Supporting, controlling and directing projects is one of the main tasks of any PMO. The PMO can be a project management consultant in any project-oriented organization. The PMO also trains the project management team and provides the necessary tools and techniques.
